The Osteria | |||
There’s a Tuscany still preserving its authenticity and wild beauty. In “Arezzo’s land” you can still find places miraculously saved from the chaos of a “stop and go” kind of tourism. Small paradises where if you stop once, you will never go away;  you will taste their food again and again, you will talk to it and to those who cook it and you will smell true flavours, rediscovering the pleasure of a meal. One of these places is Anghiari, the town where the most famous Battle, mother of Tuscany and of all the Renaissance, was fought. The place is “Vecchia Osteria La Pergola”, Doretta’s inn, who has got so many beautiful daughters as in the song with the same name “madama Dorè”. But there’s a son, too. There’s a whole family in this cosy place for all seasons. There’s the big stone fireplace where to warm oneself in the coldest of winters and a nice  green courtyard, shelter from the burning sun in summer. PRESS |
